Under this theme, neither duel nor interest in swords fits well.

Duel would fit in a firefly-like theme...but I wouldn't be so certain of the rest. I thought more of a politics game in the roman ages period. Rather than a party, friending would be making political allies. Duels could be confrontations, etc....but it is YOUR game, mine are only suggestions :D

Another related issue is that I do not know how many persons will be interested in this kind of theme...but I am in if the game is good :DElfitonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1818073417709561773.post-44886868858587707102012-05-08T16:10:34.436-04:002012-05-08T16:10:34.436-04:00Any suggestions for alternatives? Belle was originally inspired by the episode "Shindig" from Firefly, where a fancy party gets interrupted by a duel.

Dueling thus became became a useful mechanic for blocking calls and still fits the theme. That naturally led to an interest in dueling, which led to the bonus in a dueling exchange.DanielSolisnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1818073417709561773.post-30594612112492852362012-05-08T15:26:01.563-04:002012-05-08T15:26:01.563-04:00The idea of the game seems nice, and the mood kind...The idea of the game seems nice, and the mood kinda blends in. However, having duels in your fancy party seems a bit too much, doesn't it?

Also, swords as an interest contradicts the party mood :pElfitonoreply@blogger.com
